About Dr. Paschall

Paschall Medical Admissions exists because Dr. Anita Paschall believes every serious applicant deserves what most admissions programs promise but few actually deliver: a single, experienced expert who personally guides their application from first strategy session to final acceptance — and who has actually sat on the committees making the decisions.

Dr. Paschall is a physician/scientist (MD/PhD) with more than 35 years in medicine and admissions. She has served on or supported eight MD and DO admissions committees, counseled more than 20,000 applicants, and founded and scaled two nationally recognized admissions programs. For more than eight consecutive years, her clients who followed her guidance and earned interviews have achieved a 100% acceptance rate* — with placements at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke, Johns Hopkins, and many more.

She built this program after decades in institutional and corporate admissions because she wanted to do this work the way she’s always believed it should be done: limited clients, direct mentoring, and a genuine commitment to reducing the stress and maximizing the outcome for every person she works with.

A first-generation rural raised college student, a former Division I athlete, who worked her way through college as a burn tech, Dr. Paschall understands firsthand what it means to fight for every opportunity. She brings a physician’s clinical insight, an educator’s patience, and a committee insider’s understanding of what it actually takes to stand out in today’s applicant pool.

Credentials

Dr. Paschall holds an MD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, conducted her PhD work in Physiology and Pharmacology at Wake Forest University (Bowman Gray School of Medicine), and holds a Master’s Teaching Certificate.

Her training spans clinical medicine, biomedical research, and education — giving her a uniquely complete perspective on how admissions committees evaluate applicants across academic, clinical, and personal dimensions.

Proven Results

As the former Director of Health Professions Advising at an R1 and Division I university, Dr. Paschall more than doubled student acceptance rates — from below 40% to above 85%. She has counseled more than 20,000 applicants and maintained a 100% acceptance rate for more than eight consecutive years among clients who followed her guidance and received interviews. Her students have earned acceptances at Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Duke, Johns Hopkins, and many more.

A Unique Perspective

Dr. Paschall is a second-generation Sicilian and Cherokee Indian, a first-generation college student, and a former Division I college athlete. She worked throughout college as a burn technician and medical assistant to support her education.

She doesn’t just understand the barriers many applicants face — she’s lived them. That experience shapes everything about how she advises: helping applicants turn their challenges, their background, and their real story into a compelling personal narrative and a distinctive applicant brand that committees remember.

Research & Global Health Impact

With a background in primary care and reproductive health, Dr. Paschall has led and supported multiple global health research initiatives — including contraceptive development, AIDS/STD prevention, and vaccine-trial research across multiple countries through USAID and Family Health International.

She also spent eight years conducting sports-medicine research with NASCAR in collaboration with the Department of Physiology/Pharmacology, studying the effects of dehydration and stress on athletic performance.

This research background gives her something most admissions advisors simply don’t have — the ability to help applicants frame their own research experiences the way a committee actually evaluates them.

Entrepreneurship & Languages

Beyond admissions, Dr. Paschall has launched and operated several ventures, including a pre-health mentoring software platform that received unanimous Chancellor Innovation Funding at her university. She has also been a partner/associate in a custom home-building company, an exotic pet store, and a Mad Science franchise.

In addition to English, she speaks multiple other languages.

Personal Life

Dr. Paschall and her husband, a teacher at Camp Lejeune, live on the water in a small fishing community on the North Carolina coast. Free time means saltwater fishing — both spin and fly — with her husband and their two Shetland Sheepdogs (Sadie Jo and Whiskey Charlie). Mornings start at 4 a.m. with a four- to five-mile run, meditation, and yoga.

She’s also an avid sports fan: football, baseball, college basketball, and Premier League soccer.

Let’s Build Your Path to Acceptance

Each cycle, I accept a limited number of clients — because this work only means something if I can give you my full attention and expertise. If you’re serious about your application, let’s start with a conversation.
